The Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival is sponsored by the Maryland Sheep Breeders Association, Inc., a non-profit organization.

Volunteers Needed

The Festival would not be possible without the support of hundreds of community volunteers. Visit our volunteer page for information on how you can help.

Show your support for the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival

The Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival does not charge an admission fee, but needs increasing public support through individual donations in order to continue to produce this great event.

In 2014, we encourage those who enjoy the festival to donate a minimum of $5 per day.

Watch for our donation campaign at the main gate, where again this year you can donate and receive a collectible button. Also look for the yellow donation boxes at other points around the fairgrounds.

Please support this family-friendly, non-profit event.

Donations may be made online through our online registration system, or by mail using the catalog order form.

Thank you for your support!

Cover Art Competition

2014 Cover Art Competition winner has been announced. See the results.

Pre-ordered catalogs were shipped March 17th. Orders for 2014 catalogs are still being accepted by mail and through our online registration system. Catalogs will be shipped as soon as the order is received.

2014 Merchandise

2014 posters are now available from Sheepman Supply.

Revised Bus Entrance

If you are bringing a bus to the Festival, please note that this year all buses will enter the fairgrounds through the west entrance, where someone will direct you where to drop off your riders.

Online registration is now open for Sheep Shows, Family Activities, Fiber Arts Workshops, and Shepherd Workshops.

The online registration system can also be used to order catalogs, purchase meal tickets, join the Maryland Sheep Breeders Association, and make donations.

New This Year

There will no longer be a lottery for Fiber Arts Workshops, Shepherd Workshops and Family Activities registrations. All online and paper registrations will be processed in first come, first served order until classes are filled.

Friday night Ewe and Ewe Lamb Sale.

Fleece Show & Sale has a new location in the Farm & Garden Building (see map.)
